Awesome shovel! Mine came a couple of days ago and I've already used it to shovel holes in hard soil for several hours straight (helping a friend plant a peach orchard). The blade is beefy and sharp (but not too sharp to have out around kids) and you can really step down on it to get it to bite, and took on the handle to lever out dirt.

Built tough with lots of functionality and a low weight for backpacking.

This thing is pretty dang cool. I've looked around for a long while now for some kind of packable shovel. It is very sturdy, looks great and packs away nicely. I liked it so much that I ended up buying 2 more plus the extensions for friends of mine that had a fit over it.
