The SOG FastHawk is faster, lighter, more agile, and easier to carry than its sibling the Tactical Tomahawk. This is not to say it is not still powerful, versatile, and functional. It is a tool that will be used for much more than you might anticipate. Chopping, breaking, cutting, hammering, piercing, digging, prying, pounding shaving, notching and opening are all capabilities well within the FastHawk's reach. The 420 stainless steel head with a hard cased black coating is mounted to the ballistic polymer handle with heavy-duty bolts and a steel ferrule to insure the strongest integrity. Side hammer checkering insures precision placement when swinging. Carried in a nylon sheath that can be mounted to belt, backpack, or gear. It is a universal tool for modern man.
The F06-N Fast Hawk is a compact version of the F01T with its 420 stainless steel head with a 2-Inch edge and is coated in a scratch-resistant, black oxide coating for reduced reflectivity. The head is mounted to a polymer handle with heavy duty bolts. The handle has as a steel ferrule to prevent splitting, and side hammer checkering ensures precise placement when pounding. The Fast Hawk is ergonomic, lightweight design ensures comfortable use. Even if your blade is sharp, it's hard to make precise cuts if your axe doesn't fit comfortably in your hand.
